Roundtable break-out session III: ‘‘Open airport data – reality, future, utopia’
Date: June 8
Time: 15:30-16:30
Location: Room 2.13
ABOUT: Open data is data that anyone can access, use and share. Open data becomes usable when made available in a common, machine-readable format. Without data we cannot build information, and without information there is no new knowledge. It is argued that governments, businesses and individuals can use open data to achieve social, economic and environmental benefits. In some industries, open data is more common than in others. How is the airport industry doing? Is it something that adds value to the industry? What are the opportunities and threats? Where can we improve as an industry?
