Featuring: Ubo Termote, Innovation Manager, Hive

The transformation of aviation is accelerating but it does not stop at new aircraft platforms, propulsion systems or an airport’s ability to host them. As electric, hybrid and autonomous systems emerge, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) becomes one of the most critical enablers of safe, secure and scalable operations.

On 17 September, we welcome Hive, the innovation collaboration based at the Business Park Aviolanda reshaping how MRO is organised and delivered for the next generation of aviation. Hive is a fully integrated, data-driven ecosystem that connects operators, technicians, OEMs and regulators in one seamless environment. By combining smart planning, real-time insights and automated workflows, Hive enables faster turnaround times, higher reliability and safer operations, essential for future aircraft platforms and advanced air mobility.

Hive is working with innovators across Europe to prepare the maintenance infrastructure required for tomorrow’s aviation systems. Their approach shows how MRO can evolve from a necessary process into a driver of innovation, supporting both traditional and emerging aviation processes influenced by the increased need for sustainability. These activities form the core of this Morning Take-off. After exploring Hive’s vision and practical applications, we will investigate how RHIA and Hive can support both ecosystems in what they do best: innovate.

Program

8:15 – 8:30 AM | Digital tune-in
Connect with fellow innovators and share your perspective on the future of aviation.

8:30 – 8:40 AM | Opening
Welcome by the RHIA team, introducing MRO as a critical pillar of aviation transformation.

8:40 – 9:10 AM | Keynote by Ubo Termote
How Hive is reshaping MRO for the future of aviation. We explore the role of MRO in a transition towards more electric, hybrid and autonomous aviation and what this means for airports, operators and OEMs.

9:10 – 9:25 AM | Q&A / Dialogue
Engage directly with Ubo and explore opportunities for collaboration.
