OUR STORY.
The City of Rotterdam along with Rotterdam The Hague Airport are the initiators of RHIA. With the establishment of the Rotterdam The Hague Innovation Airport Foundation in May 2019, they have made it their mission to tackle the economic, social and sectoral challenges of aviation through an holistic approach.
RHIA is one of the innovation programs of the City of Rotterdam. By boosting innovations, stimulating new jobs and socio-economic cluster development, RHIA facilitates and accelerates the economic transition. It’s a program for the municipality in which it can demonstrate its role as an enterprising and co-investing government.
For Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTHA), RHIA is a way to realise one of the four strategic outlines: developing the airport into an innovation partner, so that it can become an engine for the sustainable development of the area and the region.
